The Prism Prize has announced the Top 10 Best Canadian Music Videos of 2013, as voted by a jury of more than 100 media professionals including music journalists, filmmakers, artists, and programmers. After watching hundreds of videos released in 2013, jurors selected the Prism Prize Top 10 based on originality, creativity, style, innovation and effective execution. The jury will vote once more to determine the Prism Prize winner, who will receive a $5,000 Grand Prize at the awards reception on March 23, 2014.
In addition to the Grand Prize announcement, the awards reception will include presentations of the Audience Choice Award, the Prism Prize Special Achievement Award for artistic achievements and exceptional contribution to music video art on a world stage, and the Arthur Lipsett Award for innovative and unique approaches to music video art.

Founded in 2012, The Prism Prize is a national, juried award recognizing the artistry of the modern music video in Canada. A jury of over 100 Canadian music and film industry professionals – including members of the print and web media, broadcasting, film, radio, and video art communities – nominate the 10 best videos of the year to comprise the Prism Prize shortlist.
In its inaugural year, the Prism Prize was awarded to director Noah Pink for Rich Aucoin’s Brian Wilson is A.L.i.V.E, while director Vincent Morisset took home the Audience Award for Arcade Fire’s Sprawl II.
