Muskoka Sound Music Festival Adds to Lineup

muskokaThe MUSKOKA SOUND MUSIC FESTIVAL has just announced that Hawksley Workman and The Strumbellas have been added to the Sunday, September 14 line-up at Lion’s Lookout. The MUSKOKA SOUND MUSIC FESTIVAL is a new, three-day, ticketed, outdoors, all-ages and licensed, live music festival in majestic Muskoka, taking place September 12 – 14, 2014.

A staple of the Canadian arts scene for close to 15 years, and hometown hero to Huntsville, Hawksley Workman boasts a catalogue of 14 solo releases, showcasing his now signature spectrum of sonic influence, from cabaret to electro-pop to anthemic rock and plenty in between. The accolades amassed include JUNO nods and wins, and widespread critical acclaim.

The Strumbellas are a six-piece bluegrass-inspired indie rock group from Lindsay, Ontario with songs that weave compelling stories through harmonies, stomps, hollers, claps and gang vocals. The Strumbellas were recently announced as 2014 Polaris Prize Long List nominees for their 2013 album We Still Move On Dance Floors.

MUSKOKA SOUND MUSIC FESTIVAL will feature over 20 performances from world-class Canadian headliners, local bands, emerging break-through bands, plus nationally and internationally renowned artists including Walk Off The Earth, Serena Ryder, Mother Mother, Monster Truck, Shad, Yukon Blonde, and Paper Lions.
