Palestinians Denounce Syrian Massacres in Yarmouk Camp

palestinianThe leader of the Palestinian Struggle Front faction, Khaled Abdul-Majid, denounced the massacres committed by members of the terrorist group Islamic State (IS) in the Yarmouk refugee camp, local media reported on Sunday.

“IS and Al-Nusra terrorists kidnapped dozens of residents in the camp, beheaded five people and shot two to death,” said Majid.

According to the leader, the presence of armed extremists has caused massive displacements among camp residents, but the alliance of several Palestinian militias succeeded in pushing back the terrorists in some areas inside the settlement.

Majid stressed that there were violent clashes near the Salaheddin mosque and in the vicinity of Lubieh, Safed and Haifa, where the IS and Al-Nusra suffered several casualties.

He also denounced the armed anti-government groups are blowing up buildings in an effort to tighten their control over the camp and hinder access by units loyal to the Syrian government.
