Malaysia-Australia-China Will Meet on Flight MH370

Malaysia_AirlinesAuthorities from Malaysia, Australia and China will hold a meeting in early September to review the area for the search of the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, flight MH370.

The talks will focus on whether to reduce the exploration area, after identifying that one of the parts of the device found on the coasts of the French possession of Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean, belongs to that aircraft.

Jailani Johari, Deputy Communications Minister and Chairman of the Committee for the information associated with the event, told reporters on Saturday that the possible redesign of the search area corresponds to the confirmation that the remains found are part of the flight MH370, disappeared in March 2014.

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing in its journey from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, lost contact 40 minutes after takeoff.

The first reports on the whereabouts of the aircraft, which was carrying 239 passengers, including crew, confirmed that the aircraft took a turn of almost 180 degrees and then took direction from the North to the South East-West.

In its search, dozens of aircraft and ships have been involved, as well as experts from many countries. (PL)
