Company Overview:

Alternavox is a news, arts and culture project that we have created with the focus being the human experience in its immense diversity. It has long been a dream of ours, it is the “alternative voice” a collection of voices from every background, demography and lifestyle that represents the human race.

We are Toronto-based for starters, but globally minded. The thing we can be most proud of in our city is our diversity and our commitment to embrace that quality, so Toronto is really the best starting point in our master plan. That plan is to know no geographic boundaries, a true internationalist dream; and to take Alternavox to every city, port, town and village on the map. Even if we cannot physically take you there, the new online world and technology that has become such a big part of our lives can make this happen for us all.

The human voice is what we talk, sing, laugh, cry, scream and love with. We hope to take you through all those emotions as we embark on this journey together. As the wonderful writer, Eduardo Galeano tells us “The air shall be cleansed of all poisons except those born of human fears and human passions” We embrace this as a goal.

Join us as the idea that started modestly with a radio show that aimed to break barriers moves on to its second birth.
