OH CANADA..Nothing is more Canuck than the good old maple syrup. Kittling Ridge has done us proud by bringing us a product of winning pure Canadian goodness, blending pure maple syrup with Canadian whiskey, with a touch of honey added to enhance the maple goodness all for our enjoyment. I have fallen head over heels with the sweet maple and intoxicating whiskey aroma, the smooth and velvety texture and the unmistakable sweetness of the great maple syrup . My brother Victor and I love it over ice, on its own, in coffee, over some ice cream. Our favourite is to serve it over ice, and pair it with some crispy bacon.
The colour changing maple tree marks the beginning of autumn, and I can’t think of a better celebration than a little night cap of Oh Canada, next to the fireplace (real or faux); it would also work well as a finish, after a feast of local fall offerings (pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes, venison, lamb…..etc).
Unfortunately, this is not available at the local LCBO, but it’s being offered up at Kittling Ridge Boutique inside Loblaw’s Superstore location province wide (Ontario).
