The silver screen can be a sight for sore eyes, but also for sore ears! In the spirit of TIFF that has now taken over our metropolis, we bring you a cine-maniac mix with some of our favourite tracks from the world of film. The right song in a film can intensify the mood and really capture the essence of what the Director is attempting to convey. It can excite you, terrify you, make tears stream down your face or just make you want to “get down”, but regardless, it is an important component in the art of filmmaking. It can also be a huge moneymaker, not only for the movie-makers, but for the music-makers. The late John Hughes was a pioneer in this field. Jrox and I have often said, one of the coolest jobs in planet Hollywood is the Music Supervisor, the dude that gets to pick all the music, SWEET! Well, now we get to pick the tracks, enjoy!
