Stuck on listening to women singing the blues ranging from the era of the 20’s to the 40’s, I still believed that in comparison to the women of today they at least sang from their heart and souls in a way that was convincing and reflected the hardships they had been through.
Don’t get me wrong, maybe for some ladies of today, the most they have to worry about is if their ass looks fat while they are shaking it in their over-produced video. Thank god for post-production to help them ease their pressures.
Just when I thought it was over…
Courtney Love is back, this time with Hole.
Maybe her music has softened in the ten plus years since their last album, but if the indication from their first single “Skinny Little Bitch” from the forth coming album “Nobody’s Daughter” set to be released on Tuesday April the 27th her lyrics are no less clever and more venomous than yesteryears.
Anyone who is going to be in Toronto Saturday April 24th will have a chance to catch the album in it’s entirety. With ample rare and obscure tracks from Hole, burlesque, Courtney Drag Show and prizes from Universal Records. The advance listening party for Hole’s new album is at the Augusta House in Kensington Market, full details below.
