On Monday April 19th one of the most talented and original artists to make music in the past couple decades passed away. Guru (Keith Elam) teamed up with the brilliant DJ Premier to form Gangstarr, producing some of the strongest and most influential rap records to come out of New York in the 90’s (a pretty serious claim considering what came out back then!) This mixtape is dedicated to the memory of Guru (you will be missed!) and to all my friends who I listened to all these records with back in the day. Aiight Chill!
